Mistakingly told Chi about being pissed-off for being ticketed for riding a bike without a helmet, a week later he shows up at the shop with this piece. I was so angry at Chi’s annoying art that it was stashed away for years before digging it up hanging on the wall and finally having a good laugh. Mr. Chi Pig understood how to agitate with art.

The Nappy Dugout was an all-ages venue run by Skull Skates in dowtown Vancouver in 1993 which struggled to stay alive charging kids $6 to see live bands play. SNFU played there completely free of charge allowing the Dugout to keep all the door money and continue hosting shows for several more months. Mr. Chi Pig understood how to support community.

Not unlike the announcement “ Puppet show and Spinal Tap “ The Wongs took 2nd billing in the Georgia Straight ad promoting products and the live show that happened at PD’s Hot Shop in 1990. Together for just one year, The Wongs recorded one very limited edition cassette tape. Mr. Chi Pig understood how to make ideas into real things.

An encompassing example of Chi's painting / sculpture that integrated vintage and dynamic found objects and collectibles. Chi's aggressively gay stance shows through in this work.
