Q- When did you first start skateboarding?
A- I started skating the summer of 1986.
Q- Describe your first set-up.
A- My first real set up, not including the generic cheap board I first rode, was a Vision Fishstick with trackers, and rat bones.
Q- What got you stoked to begin skating?
A- I borrowed/stole my neighbors plastic skateboard and got hooked.
Q- How has skateboarding changed your life?
A- My greatest source of fun, good friends, income for the last ten years, world traveling experiences, business successes, and some of my toughest challenges in my life so far are due to skateboarding.
Q- Describe your current set up.
A- Skull Skates deck, Independent trucks, Momentum wheels and bearings, held together by one RDS bolt and seven Mounting Machines.
Q- What was your most memorable session?
A- New Spot session during a Movie shoot. The Red Dragons got paid cash to skate our spot, enjoyed catered food, and Robo Cop even got kicked out. It really did seem like life could get no better.
Q- What's your favorite move?
A- FS Noseslide
Q- Do you think about the future?
A- Blade Runner meets Road Warrior, add a huge dash of 1984. The worlds a run away train no real conductors. We all don't seem to care if it crashes one day as long as the rides smooth while we're on it, the snack bars open and we get off before it leaves the tracks.
Q- Describe your definition of skateboarding.
A- Skateboarding is the evolution of sport. It has no rules or coaches, it's always evolving and uses the urban landscape as the arena.
Q- What is the craziest thing you have done (or seen done) on a skateboard?
A- Lately it's Sluggo's alley oop backflip, Danny Way's super ramp footage, and Machnau's smith down BCIT. It gets crazier everday.
1Q- Why keep skating?
A- Why not, everything else gets boring to quickly. What else is there to do?
Q- What is your impression of skating in it's current state?
A- It's getting better everyday. I appreciate having experienced street skating before security and caps were invented but love the new parks that are popping up everywhere.
Q- Who is the greatest skateboarder of all time?
A- Tony Hawk for being the best ambassador the sport could have wanted, Eric Koston for always pushing the envelope without sacrificing style, and Danny Way for never being afraid to go bigger.
