THE EVENT: combined the 30th anniversary of Canada's oldest skate shop, P.D.'s Hot Shop [est. 1976] and the launch of the limited edition SKULL SKATES VS. C1RCA skateboard shoe.

THE LOCATION: was The Chapel, A suitably spooky recently remodeled funeral home built in the late 1800's, situated in the fairly gnar section of Vancouver's Lower East Side.

THE DATE: was arranged to take place one of the luckiest dates of the year, Friday the 13th, a fitting and auspicious date for this once in a lifetime event.

THE ART SHOW: was titled, The Revival of Death and Freedom and consisted of 13 original black and white cut and paste pieces sold by silent auction with proceeds going to charity.

THE ENTERTAINMENT: was provided by D.J. Kilocee on the turntables and the Incredible Ease as master of ceremonies and also featured a live performance by Hung Jury.

THE CROWD: was an eclectic mix of skaters, artists, musicians, ragers, friends, parents, kids, kingpins, upstarts, creative and industry types plus every day people of various generations.
