P.D.'S HOTSHOP - Mr. Satoshi Ono officially launched the PD's Hot Shop/ Skull Skates Japan outlet, located in Toki-City, Gifu Prefecture, in the Spring of nineteen ninety four. Toki-City is a tiny town situated in the quiet country side of Central Japan famous for it's green tea [Macha] and it's traditional Japanese ceramics. Although a more relaxed pace than the nearby Nagoya and the world famous Tokyo, Toki-City is home to enthusiastic supporters of Satoshi's skateboard, punk rock, Skull Skates lifestyle. Skull Skates Japan is also fueled by stoked people all over the country via it's web based mail order system.
Much like the original Skull Skates based, in Vancouver Canada, Skull Skates Japan has been fortunate to align itself with not only skaters, but also with various bands, musicians, artists and generally creative people with common interests. PD's Hot Shop Japan is the outlet shop that offers Skull Skates products during it's very unusual business hours [open 8:30 pm and closed at 1:00 am] although it is not unusual to see the shop open as late as 3:00 in the morning! While browsing at midnight, shoppers may find themselves refreshed by a hot or cold tea or coffee from the Skull Skates vending machine.
